Text from Richard the Iron County Engineer:
"Sunroc is delayed again, I have ordered them to make the road passable asap any leave it open through the 4th of July weekend and resume on Monday the 8th. I will let you all know if it is open for this weekend, waiting on the concrete break test results."
Conversation with Richard: Sunroc, the largest supplier of concrete in Utah, is unable to get concrete for this job! They took two samples so that they could test early. If it passes we may have the road open by Thursday. They were supposed to do a single pour and be done on Friday. They will now have to fill the excavated section and protect the edges so we can drive on it. On July 8th they will start again with excavating-rebar-pouring the thresholds of the bridge. It will be closed for at least a week.
Thank you very much John, for keeping us all updated!
